Neoprene is a synthetic rubber.Linear structure dalpha-polymers prepared from 2-chloro-1,3-butadiene by emulsion polymerization.They both act as vulcanizing agents and increase resistance to thermal aging. It is not only comparable to natural rubber in physical and mechanical properties, but also has oil resistance, solvent resistance, oxidation resistance, aging resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance, heat resistance, flame resistance and flexural resistance that natural rubber and other general synthetic rubbers do not have. It can be used as both general rubber and special rubber for the manufacture of rubber products such as conveyor belts, hoses, printing rubber rollers, cables and aircraft fuel tanks.
